Who are YOU? What makes YOU different?
Self is defined as the inner being with the characteristics that separate you from others. How do you perceive yourself? Self is present from the day that someone is conceived. Each unborn child has a defined trait, genetic makeup, and personality that are unique to him or her.
The self is developed through the interaction of the parents, genetic predispositions, and the current environment that surrounds you.
Do You Have The X-FACTOR?
Genetic traits and external experiences allow the self to become different, successful, selfish, selfless, and so forth. The external factors and self-perceptions play a key component in the type of person that one can become. As someone ages, the components of self-identity are acquired through the school, the parents, and predisposed genetics. Self-identity itself can be a lifelong struggle for some people due to peer pressure, inconsistency of relationships, lack of validation, and so on.
Knowing the self and its capabilities allows you to get to self-love. Humans are created with the ability to evolve. Self-love is an ongoing process that can change over time based on current circumstances. Everyone possesses some ability to self-love early on in life. Nonetheless, it can be hindered by environmental factors such as traumas, abuse, denial, inconsistency of love, lack of love, and affection from significant others.

As we reflect on the self, there are so many things that make us into who we are today. The Self has the capabilities of becoming who you want it to be. Self-identity and self-love are important ingredients in starting your path to self-greatness.
